As I left Sierra City I left behind the stark rocky Sierra and began slowly making my transition into the Cascades. The views were not as majestic, so I began finding the beauty more in the little things.

This part of the trail goes through Lassen Park, and further north passes through the infamous Hat Creek Rim trail, as well as passes through beautiful Burney Falls State Park.
